Acquiring a Calgary Business for Long-Term Growth
I’m actively looking to acquire an established business in Calgary as the foundation for a long-term ownership and growth journey.
Background
My background spans engineering, strategy, business development, and technology, with senior leadership experience in energy and distribution businesses. Over the past 15 years, I’ve focused on improving operations, implementing systems, and scaling teams — and I’m now ready to do that as an owner.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering, University of Alberta
Masters in Business Administration, University of Calgary
What I’m Looking For
A stable, profitable business with recurring or repeat revenue potential
Located in or near Calgary (preferred), Southern Alberta (will consider), or remote based
Distribution, logistics, energy-adjacent and other established B2B service businesses
Businesses that offer or are adjacent to my personal interests would also be strongly considered if they offer a strong operational foundation. This includes: sewing/textiles/fashion; knitting or other handcrafts, gardening, fitness or travel
Clear opportunity to modernize systems and drive efficiency
How I Plan to Own the Business
I’m acquiring for long-term hold and growth, not a quick flip. My approach focuses on:
Supporting the Existing Team: Retaining and empowering capable management and staff
Strategic Oversight: Working on high-level decisions, systems and growth opportunities rather than day-to-day operations
Operational Improvement: Applying 15 years of supply chain, analytics and process optimization experience to modernize and drive efficiency
Reinvestment for Growth: Building reserves, improving margins and positioning the business for sustainable long-term value creation
Deal Size
Targeting businesses in the $600k - $1.2MM EBITDA range
